Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies across our sites, and how to control them. Last updated July 2026.

This Cookie Policy explains how Ortex Technologies Limited ("ORTEX", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our websites at ortex.com, ortex.news and ortex.app and their subdomains (together, the "Websites"), and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally, and the definitions used there apply here.

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to make the site work, to remember your choices, or to collect information about how you use it. We also use related technologies that do similar things, including pixels and tags, local storage, software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile app, and server and API access logs. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".

Cookies may be set by us ("first-party" cookies) or by a third party whose service we use, such as an analytics or advertising provider ("third-party" cookies). Cookies may last only for your current visit ("session" cookies) or persist across visits until they expire or you delete them ("persistent" cookies).

The categories of cookies we use

We group cookies by what they are for. You can accept or reject each optional category using our cookie preferences tool.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the Websites to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that keep you signed in, remember the items in a checkout, protect against fraud and abuse, load-balance our infrastructure, and record your cookie-consent choices so we do not have to ask you on every page. Because they are essential, we set them on the basis of our legitimate interests and do not ask for consent for this category. If you block them through your browser, parts of the Websites may not work.

Functional and preferences

These cookies let the Websites remember choices you make, such as your language, region, display preferences and other settings, to give you a more personalised experience. If you reject them, some features may be less convenient to use.

Analytics and performance

These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use the Websites, so we can measure and improve them. They tell us, on an aggregated basis, which pages and features are popular, how people move through the site, and where errors occur. We use Google Analytics (GA4) for this. We set analytics cookies only where you have given consent, or where consent is not required in your jurisdiction.

Advertising and targeting

These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, to show you more relevant ORTEX ads on other sites. We use Google Ads for advertising measurement and remarketing. We set advertising cookies only where you have given consent. In some US states, our use of these cookies may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, or a "sale", under state privacy law — see the Privacy Policy for how to opt out, including via the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

How these cookies are delivered

Most tags on the Websites are delivered through Google Tag Manager, which loads the analytics and advertising services described above according to your consent choices. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly anti-bot check that helps us prevent spam and abuse. Where you sign up, subscribe or pay for our Services, our payment provider (Stripe) sets cookies that are strictly necessary to process the transaction securely. Signed-in areas of the platform may use additional first-party and service-provider cookies that are necessary to deliver the features you are using.

Because the exact cookies set can change as we add or remove services, the most current, itemised list — including cookie names, providers and durations — is available in the cookie preferences tool on the Websites.

Managing your cookies

Our cookie preferences tool. You can accept or reject optional cookie categories, and change your choices at any time, using the cookie settings link on the Websites. Your choices are saved and applied across the Websites.

Global Privacy Control. Where you enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, we treat it as a valid opt-out of advertising cookies and of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for the browser on the device that sends it.

Your browser. Most browsers let you see what cookies you have, delete them, and block some or all cookies through their settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the Websites may become inaccessible or stop working properly. Guidance is available in your browser's help pages.

Mobile devices. On mobile you can limit advertising-related tracking through your device settings — for example "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS, or resetting or deleting your advertising ID on Android.

Third-party opt-outs. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites using Google's browser add-on, and manage Google's advertising cookies through Google's Ads Settings. To understand how these providers use data, see their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal reasons. When we do, we will post the updated policy here and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again. Please check back periodically for the latest version.
